Hello, I want a gamepad for some PC games that I think would be more enjoyable with one rather a keyboard and mouse. I could just buy a wired controller for windows but that cost $40 and I have wireless xbox 360 controllers so I looked it up and they do make receivers, however, I can barely find them, it's like Microsoft stopped making them and I've heard some bad stuff about them but it's just $12. I want to get one but I looked up some drivers and the newest they have is Windows 7 and I have Windows 8? Does this mean I can't get this and have to get a wired controller for $40?

Jul 23, 2016 Sorry I forgot a step. In the last window, after selecting 'Xbox 360 Peripherals', you're given another list of the actual drivers. There should be 3, driver for the wired xbox controller, play and charge kit, and the wireless receiver. Choose the one for the wireless receiver THEN hit next.
